Winter Pleasures Poem by Cicely Fox Smith

Winter Pleasures

I hate
To skate.

Ski
Not for me.

Lugeing
I do not find amusing.

I would go a long way
Rather than sleigh.

I will construct an abominable snowman
For no man.

In short, though I am told
It is very healthy to be cold,

I consider ice
Far from nice.

And to the question, “Do you like snow?”
My answer is definitely “No!”
