Winter Poem by maddy macleod

Winter

Rating: 2.0

Winter

The white, shining, sparkling,
We drive down the highway and as we glide along
I see the mountains
The trees, little specks, are tall and lean
Protruding from the gleaming white
The rocks were the same almost
They were freezing to the touch and beautiful to the eye.
Darkened where the snow had melted on them.
They icicles dripping, flowing from the crevices of the rocks.

The beauty of winter is impossible to beat.
The sounds of children,
Laughing and sledding fills the air with joy.

The readying for Christmas and the family it brings with it.
The young lovers under the mistletoe,
This is the true essence of winter.
