Wingless Poem by Anshul Srivastava

Wingless

Sometimes you want to let your heart out,
You want to speak out what you have stored in,
But the moment you open your mouth,
You don't find your thought in your voice,
It leaves you behind midway, making you dumb as always.

Someday you want to spread the wings you have,
To fly away as far as you can, as far away as they can take you,
You dream of flying to some place of your dream, may be the heaven,
But when you try to fly you don't find your wings anymore,
They have been blown away by winds of reality leaving you wingless as always.

Sometimes you try to just melt away and let the earth dissolve you,
But alas you are not that lucky the earth also spurns you away,
You are left to face life yourself, and fight it all alone,
And when you look for the sword in the mane, you find it gone,
You find yourself left in this battle all alone, as always.

Someday you decide to plunge into this ocean of life,
With a belief that you have somebody behind you,
Ready to catch you when you are drowning in water,
You look for that shoulder to find it already gone,
Leaving you gasping for the air and some help as always.

Sometimes you look into your heart and decide to do a lot of things,
You just want to go and fulfill hearts desires and fancies,
But when you decide to fulfill them you find yourself confused,
The feet which took you on the path, become cold,
Leaving you to return to that world of gloom as always.
