Wine Of Sorrow Poem by jack green

Wine Of Sorrow

Rating: 5.0

Shallow water cold and unforgiving beckons her gift.
Shadowed desire welling up culls no one slowly drifts.
Castaway and beguiled by misfortune envy and disgust.
Just beyond the breakers, safe passage beleaguered mistrust
No hope for rescue the plan tread lightly and try to survive.
Get past the breakers and find a true current and stay alive.
Drown this dragon reach shore claim my reward of tomorrow.
Feast on the refuse of yesterday quenched by wine of sorrow.
