Wind Storm Poem by Carole Davis

Wind Storm

The trek up the mountain was steep,
The wind blew fiercely against my face.
I had to keep looking up at the peak
Lost in a trance my goal to embrace.

The trees along the trail were majestic and grand
Bending ever so gracefully in the pounding wind
Singing a song faced with the blasting sand
The young saplings their branches defends

A lesson I am learning as I am blasted by the storm
How to stand up tall against the winds of life
My character and honor with the trials slowly form
Embracing nature learning to gracefully overcome strife
