Willows Weep Poem by Muriel Ruth Emerson

Willows Weep

Somewhere in the woods
The willows weep in fear
They hear the cries around the world
And weep for their sorrow
Weep for their pain
That just can't be healed
That will never disappear
But along comes a little wind
Lifting the willows head
Reaching out to the willow
Now the willow weeps for joy
Knowing that nothing stays forever
This pain shall pass
Was will become peace
The willow now sees
There is no reason to weep
