Will I Ever? Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Will I Ever?

Rating: 5.0

Will I ever?

I judged her, I judged her, I judged her
long before I see her.

Even talked with people laughed at her
Regardless of her sex
long before I see her.

Unaware of gender
for time he, for time she
kept changing; suspicious…

In my thoughts was lazy
unless was pregnant
or sick or elderly.

Chocolate she wanted; Tim Horton is simple
Whipped Cream on its top; ten dollars transport.

I judged her, I judged her, I judged her
Long before I see her.

I saw her and found out that she was someone else
Effective, hardworking and raised in Turkey
Blood of Yerevan,

She was like Afghans in Tehran
and the Thai picking worm
and Chinese in warehouse
in Cyprus the injured Iran's man.

She did the dirty job
and full time
could not go, eat, drink with tough life.

With hands up, surrender
With head low seek pardon
With knees bent want to kneel:

"Forgive me."
