Wildlife Of Walmart (Parody Of A Really Bad Sonnet) Poem by Kevin Patrick

Wildlife Of Walmart (Parody Of A Really Bad Sonnet)

Oh wildlife of Wal-Mart, do you pay cash or credit card?
When you’re grazing the savannahs of the ladies underwear apparel
Reconnaissance in grasslands of denim, khakis discount buzzards
Nibbling on price tags, for sixty inch T.Vs and blu ray players
Where hear the only sounds, are the lesser beast of earthly burden
The rancorous middle class lions, hunting for discount prices
And Herbivore techno junkies wandering the electronic jungle
Ravenous in the pure instincts of material soul food vices
While idle shoppers mosey, the habitats of all departments
I take a mental picture and wonder at the fauna of consumers
Nesting in all the isles between the toys and beauty sections
Safe in the only Jungle that will never see trees being neutered
How fun it to travel in the den of modern beasts
Capturing the sights and smells of humans not on a leash
