Wild Horses Poem by Sissy Nixon

Wild Horses

Wind whistles past,
weaving throughout my mane...
Through my legs and over my body,
that will never be tamed.

Thunder roars,
loudly in my ears...
The wind so fast,
my eyes tear.

The earth shaking,
ponds rippling...
The soft nip on my rump,
ever so tickling.

My head goes to the ground,
my feet to the air...
Running wildly,
no-on stops to stare.

I join the herd again,
my tail fluttering behind me...
Running with the wild horses,
so fast and free.
