Why Must There Be War Poem by oceanna lary

Why Must There Be War

why must there be war
why can't we be happy
for life has in store
something much more happy

to see the pain in another's eyes
to put another to their death bed
a shiny golden metal will be your prize
to win a war, a feast you'll be fed

to kill another
you do not now
if the is someone's baby, or brother
for you do not know

have you ever looked into someone's eyes and saw
your own death
well the victims of war most certainly
have
for they saw you, while you took their final
breath

imagine your own death
imagine another man stealing you last breath
to start a war
all hell is in store
