Why Must I Feel So Cold Poem by Ardimus Caldwell

Why Must I Feel So Cold

Why must this lonely road
feel so cold
walking in circles that mean nothing
where ashes sweep my feet
where foot prints fade away
civilizations fall to their knees
asking ashes to sweep over them
too many hear me
but not enough are really listening
lover's seek for love
friends seek for happiness
regular people seek for everything else
but what is it that I seek
a lonely man forced to
walk in darkness
without light
thou confused to what is seen
not cause thy eyes are closed
but as what he see's it
it being the world thy walk upon
it being the life thou share with many others
others who take it and rip it
heartless
a cold walker
but alone in this cold
but
why must this lonely road
feel so cold
