Why Me? Poem by Kavya .

Why Me?

Rating: 5.0

Why Me! God why Me!
I have always worshipped thee,
I have ill treated none
Why was then my prayer shunned,
Was I being very kind
That your eyes could only find,
I wanted to live my life galore
Could you not have granted more,
Happy and satisfying was my life
I was a doting mother and a wife,
God my kids are very small
I need to hold them when they stumble and fall,
I would miss my family, Oh my God!
I cant rest in peace in heavenly abode,
Now I can only watch them from above
And shower them with endearing love,
May all their wishes be fulfilled Oh My God
Do not make haste in uniting us my Lord!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I recently heard about the sudden demise of a lady who's known to my friend, but a total stranger to me. She succumbed to swine flu yesterday. She has a toddler and a school goind kid. A very kind hearted lady by nature, would always give more than expected. I felt very sad on hearing the news from my friend, and hence penned this down straight from my heart. I was asking God, y her? couldnt you have spared her?

A very touching poem Kavya. I got the full picture only when I read the poet's notes. Such sudden demises are very common. God's ways are inscrutable and let us rest assured that He will take care of the bereaved family as he did them till this mishap. There is a 10 for you here.

When we see and face certain things, we tend to ask.... 'Why God'! But we are not expected to get a reply! Who can question God's justice! I am so moved by your friend's story narrated in the first person with great poignancy! Very touching Kavya! A 10
