Why Didn'T I Try To Stop It From Fading? Poem by Scarlet .....

as they say if you love someone set them free
I guess that is why I didn't try to stop your love from fading
for I know you have found the light
but you stayed with me
and shared your light
but by doing that I trapped you in the darkness
you worked hard to be able to create your own light
and I must do the same
you deserve the light you create you should not have to share
at least not with someone who can not share some light in return
you deserve to reach the highest level of light
you deserve to stand on the highest of the grounds
for that is where you belong
not trapped in this darkness
so as they say if you love someone set them free
and I love you but I must not fight this fading so that you can be free
free to be where you deserve to be
free to be with that someone who adds to your light and helps you climb to the highest ground
not someone who takes some of your light away and keeps you trapped it the darkness
for I will reach the light just in due time
you are there so enjoy it
I will learn soon enough
learn to create my own light
so that I am no longer trapped in darkness
for only then I can truly be happy
for then I will independent
