Why Did You Block My Eyes? Poem by Neela Nath Das

Why Did You Block My Eyes?

Rating: 5.0

The see-hole rolls and reels.
My eager eyes want to tear,
the curtain between your poem
and me, the treasure-land
is blocked.
Are you Long John Silver?
No, you can't be.
I never ever wish to get
away from the sight of this site.
Fake pride isn't my goal.
I'm solitary cloud, love
to float and smile.
Whoever bullies me
hope it's fake, not real.
I ain't an Octopus
or Ogre or anything you
entitle me with.
I don't swallow poem,
I feel them,
as I feel your love, hatred
your seven shades of emotions.
Why did you block my eyes?
Do you want me to get off?
I'm ready dear.
Because, I respect the readers'
reaction!
If my presence is pain,
I must return to the lone kingdom
of my attic, to sing alone
the song of joy and merriment,
weaving the prompt lyric,
like a rural bard.
May be that's my destiny!
