I sit and wonder why days go by
I sit and think why people tell a lie
When they have lots of truth at hand
Instead of making a lot of good friend
Why people make foes for a little gain
Why people fall in love when they know
Break up gives them so much pain

I sit and wonder why days go by
I sit and think where people go when they die
Why they know not when they are alive
Why they know not when death will arrive
Why such darkness in spite of having so much light
Why such sorry plight in spite of having so much might

I sit and wonder why days go by
I sit and think why people blame and cry
When life is itself grand and great
Instead of owning life why people believe in fate
Why such stupidity in spite of having brain
Why such predicament in spite of having blood in vein
