Why Bee? Poem by Ima Ryma

Why Bee?

Humans are studying some bees,
That get involved in fierce warfare,
For no apparent reason - jeez!
Very baffling, humans declare.
Nest against nest and thousands die.
Each others' bodies torn apart.
So much of wasted carnage - why?
Some nests have to make a new start.
And when such nest is back once more,
Soon after it is deja vu,
Involvement in another war.
Bees have nothing better to do?

Humans wonder why bees do fight.
Look in a mirror for more insight.
