Why Am I Drinking?

Why am i Drinking?
To stop wishful thinking
To stop false hoping
To not start doping

To blend in with the rest
Because I'm not the best
So i can forget about the pain
Because I'm not a swain

Why am i drinking
To enjoy myself without thinking
To drown my stentorian sorrow
So i can't feel hollow till the morrow

To savor the marvelous wine
I wish i was on the front line
But I'll have a merrymaking time
Without committing any crime.

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
