Whoops Olympics 2012!
Oh no! We've just spent billions,
on the bloody Olympic Games,
and now I read that millions,
will die in terror and flames!
Because an ancient people had a vision,
many hundreds of years ago,
and they saw things with such precision,
I'm told it must be so!
Funny though, how they never foresaw,
the cause of their own demise!
The drought which caused major famine and war,
I bet that gave them a surprise!

Bingo! I read a comment, I will look it up, that said, basically, prophecies are best examined in retrospect. It came from the Catholic Church and was in regard of miracles, etc. The irony of it apparently lost on them. it may have been the philosopher AC Grayling Any way - great read.
