Who We Are Today Poem by Jon M. Nelson

As we all go through this life
there are times when we reflect.
And as we look into the future,
we don't know what to expect.

Sometimes we look at our pasts
and think of moments of regret.
And there may be parts of our lives
that we would rather forget.

Now as we look all around us,
and see just where we have been,
We know we cannot go back,
and start it all over again.

We all have those moments,
that we wish we could erase.
And that would have led us
to another time and another place.

We all make mistakes for a reason,
and we live with right or wrong.
What we went through in our past,
today has just made us strong.

Our pasts are left behind us,
so there we should let them lay.
What we did and have been through,
has made us who we are today.
