Who's Black? Poem by Jacques Sprenkie Mateya

Who's Black?

As if he knew what does black means
If you knew, how can you call me black person?
Ek is nie swart ek nie! ! !
You mean black for my car tires
You mean black for coals
You mean black like my hair
Then if that is the case, I am not black

If you classify, according to comparisons
Then I will not understand you classification
If you don’t understand the definition of black
Why do you call me a black person?

If black means black
Then you are wrong with your classification
Then cope with your correction
As have cooped with your comparisons

By comparing me with tires and coals
You have achieved nothing else but spoiling my day
