Who Me? Poem by RIC BASTASA

Who Me?

you, yes you,
sly as a fox
insidious, marked with a skill
for deception
you, yes, you
cunning woman
often passing
for wise, deep
machinations
on such schemes
ready always
with your slick
evasive answers
to questions
prepared overnight
sly, tricky Lucy

who me?
not me, you,
yes, you,
yes, you

how dare
you say

you love me.
