Who lost?
- - - - - - - -
Being confronted upon
Time and again, rather
More silent he went than before
"You must be sad and heart-broken"
"Not really, I am happier than before"
Said he with no sign of hurt
On his face or in his actions
How come! Sad not you are a bit
When you loved her to bits
Dreamed of her day and night
Sent her flowers
And gave her gifts
Breathed love with candor
Sighed happy things with cheer
And she accepted all with smiles
In return she said nothing big or small
Excepting a ‘thank you' as the only thing
You loved her keeping your hope aloft
Thinking your love would win her over
That one day she would melt
That she would reciprocate
But she moved out of town
Defying your fervent plea to leave not
As if you are quiet unknown
And love? What is it? She asked
As if to her a strange word indeed
Saying she never loved you
Callously she dumped you
Yet happier than before you are
How is it my dear?
"You see" he said
"Someone I lost
Who never me loved
Someone she lost
Who forever her loved
So tell me, who has really lost? "
Such a woman doesn't deserve his love! In fact he has won by losing her! Again he can live in peace! ! A burden is lifted off his shoulders! To live with someone who can't value genuine love is the greatest misfortune! Happy that the poem ended this way! !

A bitter truthful description of a relationship that was supposed to be love. In fact such relationships are never a love. Love starts when the couple starts loving together and learning to accept each other with all the goodness and even the weaknesses. He is a winner in the sense that if she would have married him it would not have resulted in a sincere and true conjugal life.....................10
