Who Is It Tonight? Poem by Deona Skidmore

Who Is It Tonight?

Basically, I don't know what to expect when I pick up the phone and notice your number
(Who is it tonight?)
Sometimes, you make my life worth living.
(Dr.Jekyll or Mr.Hyde)
Other times, you make me wanna die.
(Who is it tonight?)
Sometimes, I want to scream at you, make you realize all that you are
(Dr.Jekyll or Mr.Hyde)
Sometimes, I just wanna show you YOUR scars
I KNOW you,
Better than you know your own skin,
Sometimes I don't know where you stop and I begin
So to risk repetition, I ask again
Who is it tonight?
(Dr.Jekyll or Mr.Hyde)
