Who Invented The Helix Poem by Pacific Hernandez

Who Invented The Helix

Who invented the helix
Archemedes I've heard
In his old waterwheel
That sends water uphill
Some say the mechanics
In their screw with a thread
A wrap-around inclined plane
winding around a post

To this I will say no
I beg to disagree
Just look around you'll see
The tendrils in a vine
Go deep down the ocean
You'll see molluscans
In their shells have screw
Ahead of the Homo
In the use of the helix
Pre-dates the Habilis
