Who Are You? Poem by Atsu Adaletey

Who Are You?

You
Who are you?
Who are you to despise me?
To threaten my future?
To judge me?

Who are you to hold on to my rights?
Who are you to judge my abilities?
Who do you think you are?

A god?
An ignorant and struggling mortal living in the lies of hypocrisy
With no sense of Godly fear?
You use your stool to threaten my right?
You
don't
dare
I am a heir of His promises for eternity
So keep stuck to your track
And let me pray He delivers you from insanity and vanity

I am the simple soul who prides myself with a living GOD
I am the wise ant who gathers ahead of time
And secures my survival at the heat of starvation
Who are you?

I am not the follow-the-crowd fly that muds itself in the ditch of shame
I am the follow-the-ladder sheep that strides with a faithful shepherd
The
I am who I am
So I ask
Who
Are
You?
