Who Am I? Poem by maya maini

From today I am no one.
My identity is gone,
and I know some,
but not the one.

Have no expectations,
I am told.
Remember there is nothing,
into which nothingness goes!

I try to place this no one,
into a context of a sum total.
From being someone,
I am definitely not the one

And so in this manner,
I am told to walk the path.
Let no or one throw the spanner,
into this new journey with no sloth.

I go from full to zero,
the zero feels good for the moment.
But the full is behind the O,
and I am supposed to be fresh as mint!
