Whispers In The Wind Poem by Don MacIver

Whispers In The Wind

Alone in the twilight of summer's day
Dusk would cast pallor on forested glen
Cedar crest mellow on whispering winds
In sighs of filigree aspirations
Symphonic as tubular petals waft
Ethereal song notes emanating
In delicate balance, transverse treble
Timbers of breathless register waning

My gaze would enrapture, in darkness dream
Of undertones, violet cast in pale
Shades of sinewy curvature, petal's
Gentle song wind-like flow penetrating
Imagine black and white's coloration
Piccolo character, mellow, forte
The quiet of calmness, bellowing shrill
In tonal transition's everlasting

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I am currently writing a series of poems in collaboration with gifted Atlanta, Georgia photographer Carolyn C. Meltzer. We have engaged in these pairings for the dramatic interpretations I derive from Carolyn's gorgeous photographic images and I write from those interpretations through my poetry. Our series is titled 'Stunning Visuals In Verse'.
