“where Will It End? ” Poem by persian khushi

“where Will It End? ”

Mother Africa
Like an elephant
Mighty in stature
Powerful in knowledge
Sensitive like a baby’s soft skin
Strength in masses
Rich in natural resources
But what has become of you?
Where are your people to work the land?
Skills plenty
People willing to work
No finances to support
Only nonsense talks, from those in power
Empty promises
Cheap imports
Taking the place of
Willing hands for hard work
Taking confidence from her people
Forcing them into poverty
Democracy is only a word
Rejected by governments
Rich getting richer
No future for the newly born
Natural disasters
Heavy rains, floods
Drought, forest fires
Destroying livelihood and lives
