Where Red Brick Is King Poem by John McCornack

Where Red Brick Is King

Come and visit where Red Brick is King
In a wonderful town named Guthrie
Step back to where history was made
iI a town where we all want to be

Where many red bricks line the streets
A really great place to spend the day
After seeing all those historical homes
Everyone wants to plan for a longer stay

A hundred plus years have now passed
Since those bricks became a road or a store
We all look back and wonder why
Streets and buildings today are such a bore

Oh.. How we love those little red bricks
In that Oklahoma town named Guthrie
Where early settlers made red bricks King
And formed a town where we all want to be
