life is too many a thing
to too many people
at the same time
it remains nothing to some
some see it in flame
and burn themselves down into ashes
some see it in water
and drown themselves into fossils
but I see it in
what I plucked from the bush fresh and red
and knee down gave it to you
last Sunday night.
