Why do you call me…when you know I can only cry.
Why try to explain when all you can really do is try
How can you believe in those things you say
like everything will be okay
like its not a big deal these things I say
to just keep my heart with yesterdays…
and there goes that wave again, of emotion of fear
you say it’s not that big of a deal my dear
…shhh…don’t speak
just let me listen to your heart beat
jump and skip with the oceans pounding on the shore.
drowning in your sea of pain, lost in this constant tug-of -war
And I’m still scared and that wind, that wind
Where do I start, where do I begin?
Touch my hand and tell me it’s going to be ok
Look into my eyes and tell me to hold on to yesterdays,
What you feel is what I feel too,
and to be alone well that would be to be without you.
Alone and trying to drown out that wind
