~where Are You Know~ Poem by Latanya Hamblett

~where Are You Know~

Rating: 4.5

The beauty of life has come back once again.

The trees, the leaves, the green grass.

The sun that shines the whole world.

Just sitting in my window waiting for my leaf to come back.

Wondering what is taking so long.

That was the leaf I woke up to every sunny mornig.

It help me through trials and tribulations.

Times were hard when it went away, but knowing it will come back again.

When it left, clouds disappeared and the sky began to roar.

You have not come back, so who do I turn to now?

The beauty of the leaves are there to inspire someone else.

You were the glue that kept us together, but the strong, mean wind that blew us apart.

You were the wood leg that holds up a desk, but the corroted piece that broke us down.

You were like a pastor that leads a church, but the devil in the back that drove me away.

Responsibilities

I didnt have them, because you were there.

Mom and dad was laid to rest, but you was there.

Hard times I had them, but you was there.

Now I want to talk.

But you are gone too.

I have this big question inside.

I dont know who to ask.

Well here goes nothing.

Where are you..................Now?

I thought this was real quality writing. So I gave it a 9. It was a joy to read. A real story of sorts. There aren't many things like this to read. GW62
