I am here
Always here
No matter what you said
How it hurt
How you lied
or ran away
It is nothing
You needed me today
And me
I came running
I am not a stupid girl
But a friend
A woman of character
Of faith
And I believe in you
Even when you don't
When the world turns its back
I push against the crowd
to stand there next to you
Protect you from life's storms
Protect you from yourself
I meant what I said
I still care
Even if they shake their heads
I will still be there...
because where are they now?
