Where Am I With All This Lostness In Me? Poem by Shalom Freedman

Where Am I With All This Lostness In Me?

WHERE AM I WITH ALL THIS LOSTNESS IN ME?

Where am I with all this lostness in me?
Why can’t I be better than I am?
An old man’s meditation should be on kindness and love
And not on anger and selfish resentment?
I have failed You
But from where I am in my life
Can I really do better?
God forgive me
I am a fool.
