Where Am I Poem by Steven Harris

Where Am I

Waking up in a house i don't know
on a sofa i've never sat on before
the sunlight hitting my face through the curtains
the pain of the night before breaks through
still in the same clothes aswell.

Pizza box across a brown table
my stomach is crying out for food
but the box is empty
not even a cold slice left
all eaten with no memory of it.

In apart of the city i don't reconise
i don't know how i got here
i don't know who lives here
i don't know how i'm going to get home
could it be a girls house?

It seems quiet
seems like there is nobody in
seems like a well off house
big garden from what i can see
big pond
big t.v
big furniture
big everything
even a big fish tank
everything is bigger here
and it's not helping my eyes.

Then a friend walks through the door
he has no memory either
doesnt know how we got here
but he knows where we are
15 miles away from our homes
he knows how we are getting home though.

With that information all's safe now
no need to worry
no need to be concernd
i'm getting home
i'm going to be safe.
