Where Am I?
Loneliness rages within me
like riotous waves of an ocean,
my head spins
like a colourless top,
now I recognise me
now I don't,
now I am conscious
now I am not,
now I float on soaring clouds
now I sink deep in my sins,
now there's no light
now there's darkness stark,
of Lethe have I drunk
has Acheron taken me in?
Where am I, Where am I?
Overwhelming and disorienting loneliness is so well evoked by this poem, which is brilliantly written.5 stars.
I think most of us ask ourselves this question. The sense of rootlessness is powerfully depicted. Kudos!
