Where Am I? Poem by Unnikrishnan Sivasankara Menon

Where Am I?

Rating: 5.0

Loneliness rages within me
like riotous waves of an ocean,
my head spins
like a colourless top,
now I recognise me
now I don't,
now I am conscious
now I am not,
now I float on soaring clouds
now I sink deep in my sins,
now there's no light
now there's darkness stark,
of Lethe have I drunk
has Acheron taken me in?

Where am I, Where am I?

I think most of us ask ourselves this question. The sense of rootlessness is powerfully depicted. Kudos!

The word lethe in greek language means oblivion.now there's darkness stark, of rivers have I drunk has Acheron taken me in or Lethe? If the poem was mine..
