Where All It Started Poem by Manonton Dalan

Where All It Started

tribute to an old man
who sings all night long
picking words from unknown
plucking his guitar to tune
melody created, his very own
i listen until i fall asleep

when i wake up i'm on my bed
dreaming of notes in my head
i was sailing one day in hawaii
i heard same guitar; same songs
words from unknown; unending
running poems with native twist

i hum those words i know
now i write them for you
