When Your Heart Seems Hopelessly Broken... Poem by Aufie Zophy

When Your Heart Seems Hopelessly Broken...

Rating: 5.0

Deceived, a heart full of hurt
Bitter and hard, Hatred burning
A flood of tears
Will the tide ever be turning?

Even though your heart, he has been destroying
Life seems so nice to him, he is still enjoying.
You are alone, all alone with a heart full of hurt
You shout it out loud, but remain unheard.

Through all the hatred you find in your heart
the suffering and pain becomes worse
You want peace, but where do you start,
All you are is bitter, hateful. You curse

When we pray for help and support from above
For the one who had lost all love,
the idea of forgiving seems to grow stronger.
We do not want to hate for much longer

Once we can forgive in our heart
grief starts to fall apart.
Tears may come back on and off
But we become able to live, love and laugh

When we decide that we want to keep hatred so strong
We will continue to hurt and be bitter all along.

Such a true depiction of a broken heart and the emotional roller coaster that holding on to the pain and anger can take us on.

Wonderful poem that I can relate to. No one should choose to keep hatred inside of them because they only end up hurting themselves more; they make themselves bitter and pained through their whole lives.

Now this I can relate to. This is what i see so much of, so much of what my poetry is based on. The heartbreak, the tears, getting through it and over it. I see so much in the things I do, I must write them. This poem is heartrending, encouraging, loving and forgiving all at once. I like the imagery of the person with the broken heart forgiving and moving on. This is an excellent piece of work that I love. So needed in today's throw away society. Well Done.
