When You Look Back Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

This is a wonderful poem. It has qualities that I admire and look for in poetry, It is honest, no false airs, no self-deceptive pretense. It is unsentimental, which means it conveys true sentiment. It is completely candid and open-hearted. And, perhaps most importantly, it affirms our work as poets, acknowledging the truth of what we write and furthermore the lasting quality of that truth.
