When You Lie In My Arms Poem by Gert Strydom

When You Lie In My Arms

it's as if you bring spring
into our bedroom.

There are doves, weavers
and sparrows outside
that gambols and sings.

Beautiful woman, when you
trust me with you body and soul
it's as if the whole earth
encloses us in a paradise, in a spring garden.
