When Will You Learn? Poem by Viola Grey

When Will You Learn?

Rating: 3.5

Surrender sense and reason,
lay self respect at his door,
acquiesce unknown treasures
until you are nothing more
than hollow ideals of dreams
sacraficed upon the altar,
set afloat on a dark ocean
of happily ever after.
Curtsey now to calamity,
succumb once more to fear,
what you induce, you desire,
but...do you really care.

Great poem here Viola. I say never be a doormat for anyone, and you do the picking. Let the woman I describe below be your model. She has an independent mind. She is brilliant, lovely, and successful, and she has an independent mind; no one tells her what to do, and yet she is gentle and kind. Still, she likes the best of everything including men as stunningly beautiful as she is. She'll let you know if you'll be her lover, and she will make you mad with desire, and stay with you for as long as she likes. Then she'll tell you its over, and you'll put up with it too and continue to love her even when she finds someone else because there is nothing more you can do. In every way she is a lady, a heart breaker, and a source of joy and sorrow. I wish to God I did not like her. William Jackson
