When We Met For Tea Poem by Edmund V. Strolis

When We Met For Tea

Rating: 3.5

Your carefree fluttering arrival
Sun dazzled, alighting softly
Your perpetual smile playing
My heart exposed for all to see

How light was the morning breeze
How carefree was your laughter
How urgent was your embrace
How passionate your purpose

Let me fill your cup once more
I could promise you this forever
Let us celebrate anew each day
but your cup overflows with rain
