When We Danced Poem by Gerard El Cue

When We Danced

Remember
when we danced
in the living room
after dinner?
The candles
still aglow
the wine still on our lips.

Remember
when we danced
on the patio
in the moonlight?
You giggled
and you sighed
layed your cheek against my chest.

Remember
when we danced
on the hillside
'neath a million stars?
Remember,
there I promised
I would always
Dance with you.
