When The Nightmares Come Poem by John DeBona

When The Nightmares Come

Rating: 5.0

Dripping blood, spewing hate
In my dreams, I can't escape
I see your face, what you've done.
I cannot hide, when the nightmares come.
My senses snap, my soul is bare.
My anger burns, it's in the air.
Punches thrown, fists of rage
Like an animal in a cage.
I hate, I cry, I shake in fits.
My soul is sliced and torn to bits.
Cannot wake, I'm not yet done.
I can't escape when the nightmares come.
