When The Moon Cries At Times Poem by M D Dinesh Nair

When The Moon Cries At Times

Rating: 5.0

It`s not the coolness of a pervasive soft light
That she emits from her frozen chambers;
It`s her warm tears made of a million woes.

When the moon cries at times
It`s not the vastness of a magical world around
That she silences with her uneven steps;
It`s her torn hopes of a millennium past.

When the moon cries at times
It`s not the reverberation of a joyous cry
That her distant cousins, stars make from far off spaces
It`s the resounding of the wail of a closer kin.

I hid first behind the clouds and
Then behind the heights still above
Only to see the moon crying
With her wet eyes cast on the earth down.

Moon cries at a times and often goes unnoticed, as it may be mistaken for its beauty.... Loved reading it...Wonderful write..

The night can be mournful and the moon can be seen crying when the eyes that behold them and the heart that perceives them are sad. For some, the moon is like a queen seated on her golden throne who smiles on the world! Everything is largely a matter of perception! Hope you will soon be able to see the moon bathing you in her radiance! A poem with a wonderful flow and lyrical beauty! !

Why not this too? Of all the many different forms of life.....the moon is set where it can view the earth, the other planets and even beyond that.....yet still bound to the earth in orbit......that in itself could be sad......great metaphors in your poem!
