When The Heart Cries

When the heart cries
The eyes look on
It weeps and shrieks
And mourns and grieves
It whines and whimpers
And howls and bleats
It bellows and roars
And snivels and squalls
It sobs and wails
And leaves a trail
The eyes look on.

When the heart breaks
The eyes look on
It snaps and quivers
And shatters and severs
It crumples and collapses
And leaves a hiatus
It tears and slits
And rents and ruptures
It dribbles and drops
And bleeds and trickles
It drips and pools
And out of the eyes it ooze.

    When the Heart Cries,
you can never have enough to describe how it hurts.

Your words are beads of pearl, elegant yet, sad.

My dear poetess, I am waiting for the book :) (Report) Reply

Poem of the Day

poet Sara Teasdale

Only in sleep I see their faces,
Children I played with when I was a child,
Louise comes back with her brown hair braided,
Annie with ringlets warm and wild.
