With a half filled stomach,
There futures bleak and helpless they are,
Is this less than a war?
With thousands dead,
Dead bodies piles up, as you see that far,
Is this less than a war?
Buildings reduced to rubble,
and like boat floats our car,
Is this less than a war?
mother holding her child,
and child searchin' for her father,
Is this less than a war?

Sorry, I don't like your comparison with war. Sure, there are some obvious similarities in that they both involve death and destruction. But the essential difference is that the tsunami is a force of nature and is unavoidable. It's not less or more than war. It's different.
