When My Heart Is Breaking - Poem by Erica Pait

When the floor is covered in tears
Flowing from a heart no longer whole
When my arms reach out to where
Used to be a loving little soul
A tear-stained face, a wet pillow
Eyes made soft in sorrow
Maybe things will turn out right
Maybe will be better on the morrow!

Tho fast asleep I moan
As tho in great suffering
My heartbreak shows thru slumber
My tender soul is aching
My sister, tho she leaves now
Will ever be in my heart
And of my life & mind
She will be a part

A really good poem, poems are to express and you have certainly done that. (Report) Reply
