When Life Is Hard To Bear Poem by Esther Ayala

When Life Is Hard To Bear

When life is hard to bear,
And the Sun in your eyes become obscured
Close your eyes and see God's Loving care.

And always listen with your minds eyes,
To never neglect those who can give you wisdom,
And make you wise.

They can tell you about the many nights,
That their hardship was no merry dance
of the northern lights.

We were arrested, in prison, interrogated, and drilled,
Sentenced, persecuted and killed
And even health problems beyond our repair,
Can bring many into despair.

Feelings of worthlessness can even come from outside,
With thoughts of wanting it to go away, in Sheol to hide
Discouragement my Friend, please be aware,
Into what hardship you face, Satan does not care.

For other people's endurance
is what will make you wise,
For their endurance if we put within us
We can retreat what's put there, that lies.

Associating our brains with many success,
Now becomes our stronghold we can posses.

Go ahead and draw from others
By listening and taking in and see,
The many faith strengthening stories present or past,
Can now also become yours to be.
