When I Was Younger I Thought So...

Rating: 5.0

Easy peasy-simple pimple,
When I was younger, I thought so,
Being adult is outshine,
How dumb of me,

When I was younger, I thought so,
I would die before I lie,
So free from taint was my mind,

When I was younger I thought so,
A hoary women budges with the moon,
and that mermaids really subsist,
I thought I'll make it to the sky,

When I was younger I thought so,
Number theory existed only in one, two, three,
Twinkling of an eye...now that I have grown-up,
I don't have time to take a peek back at my own notions of stupidity,
and think beyond life,
No time to hang tough and stick out,
No time to swarm up the tree,
No time to jaunt on Dad's back like a horse's,
and plead him to crook down,
No time to sit on sea-saws and laugh riot,
No time to shout at the top of lungs,
while throwing popcorns down from roller coasters,
I have ceased to ponder and dwell on,

I feel without rhyme or reason and want to go back,
to the time when getting high meant on the swing,
When Dad was the only hero,
When things broken were only toys,
and I wasn't plugged up,

When I am older I think so,
to escape back off the leash and be young forever!
